The Redrocks Magazine Cooperative respects the privacy of visitors to this website. This Privacy Policy governs the use and collection of information from you by The Redrocks Magazine Cooperative (“we” or “us”) through your use of this site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you may provide to us through means other than through our site; for example, by mail or telephone. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand our online privacy practices. By visiting this site, you agree that your visit, and any dispute over our online privacy practices, will be governed by this Privacy Policy. Personal Information. On some pages, you can order products, make requests, enter special promotions and register to qualify for free magazines. The types of personal information collected at these pages are: · Name · Address · Email address · Credit/Debit Card number and expiration date. Cookies. The Redrocks website uses a standard feature of browser software, called a "cookie," to assign each visitor a unique number that resides on your computer. The cookie does not identify the visitor, just the computer that a visitor uses to access a website. The cookie will access information that was typed in by the last user on your computer when you come back and visit the site again, so long as you have not cleared the cookie off your computer in the mean time. We do this so that you don’t have to re-enter previously submitted information each time you visit. Other Methods of Collecting Information. Our web pages may contain electronic images (called "single-pixel GIFs" or "web beacons") that allow us and our vendors to count users who have visited particular pages. We may use these tools and other technologies to recognize which pages users visit, and which links they click on. These features may also be included in the emails we send out so that we can learn which messages have been opened and acted upon. We may also be able to verify your online purchases from us or from third party sites that have agreed to share such information with us. Browser Level Information and IP Addresses. Our web servers automatically collect limited information about your computer configuration when you visit our site, including the type of browser software you use, the operating system you are running, the resolution of your computer monitor, the website that referred you, and your IP address. (Your IP address is a numerical address that is used by computers connected to the Internet to identify your computer so that data—such as the web pages you want to view—can be transmitted to you. We also use IP address information for systems administration and trouble shooting purposes. Your IP address does not tell us who you are.) We use this information to deliver our web pages to you upon request, to tailor our site to the interests of our users, and to measure traffic within our site.
Why we collect the information. We will use the personal information you provide us to process your transaction and to contact you regarding your subscription(s) if necessary. We will share this information with the publishers to the extent necessary to facilitate your subscription(s), i.e., for customer service, order verification, subscription fulfillment and billing purposes. How we use the information. When you place an order, your name and address, email address, and billing information is sent to each of the publishers of the magazines you ordered so that they can fulfill your subscriptions. We instruct the publishers that we have not collected or received any permission from you to use your information for any purpose other than to fulfill your magazine order. However, we have no control over the actions of the publishers. We encourage you to contact the publishers directly for information about how they use the data they collect from subscribers. Contact information for all publishers on the Redrocks site can be found by clicking the “Contact Us” link on the redrocksmags.com home page. From time to time, we may make our customer email list available to carefully selected outside organizations that offer related products or services we think you might find interesting. We also may make your name and postal address available to third parties that offer related products or services. Although we will only share addresses with outside organizations that we believe to be reputable, we do not have any control over their actions. You should contact each organization directly if you have questions about its privacy policies. If you do not want us to share your email address with anyone, you can tell us not to share your email when you place your magazine subscription by selecting the appropriate option on the order page or by contacting us at the address below. If you prefer that we do not share your postal address with anyone, you can opt out by contacting us by mail or email at the following addresses: Redrocks Magazine Cooperative If you do not select the opt-out option at the time you place your subscription order, but later decide that you do not want us to share your email or postal address anymore, you can opt out by contacting us at the address above. Please note, however, that it may not prevent you from receiving offers from parties who may have received your (email / postal / both) address before you opted out. If you no longer wish to receive offers from such companies or organizations, please contact the company or organization that is sending you the offers directly. Contests and Other Promotions. From time to time, we may offer contests, sweepstakes or other promotions on our site. If you enter one of these promotions, you will have to provide information about yourself (such as your name, address, and email address) so that we can contact you if you win. We may share this information with any wholly or majority-owned subsidiary of Circulation Specialists, Inc. and any co-sponsor of the promotion (we will identify any co-sponsor in the official rules for the promotion). If you do not want us to collect the information requested in the registration form or to provide it to any wholly or majority-owned subsidiary of Circulation Specialists, Inc. or contest co-sponsors, please do not enter the contest, sweepstakes, or other promotion. Our Affiliates. We may share the information that we collect from you with any wholly or majority-owned subsidiary of Circulation Specialists, Inc. so that we and they can provide you with information regarding other products and services. Statistical Information. Much of the information we collect is in the form of aggregated statistics, such as the traffic that visits various pages within our sites, and the habits and preferences of our audience. Such aggregated information does not include any information that would identify you personally. We may, from time to time, use such aggregated information or disclose it to third parties in order to enhance or analyze our service, as we see fit. Sites to Which We Link. Our site may contain links to other websites, and may provide access to products and services offered by third parties, whose privacy policies and visitor agreements we do not control. When you access another site or purchase products or services or conduct other transactions through our sites, use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy and visitor agreement of the operator of the site you are visiting, or the provider of such products or services. Other Disclosures. We may occasionally release information about our visitors when release is appropriate to comply with law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of visitors to our sites, the public, our customers, or our company and its employees, agents, partners and affiliates. In addition, in the unlikely event that our company, or the bulk of our assets relating to this site, is acquired by another company, information on our web site visitors would be among the transferred assets. Children’s Privacy Children should always get permission from their parents before sending any information about themselves (such as their names, postal addresses, or email addresses) over the Internet, to us or to anyone else. We will not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to purchase magazines through our site or to provide any other personally identifying information. If you are under 13, please do not provide us with any personally identifying information about yourself (such as your name, address, or your email address). Storage of information and Security All information gathered on our site is stored within a database operated by us or by a contractor on our behalf. Sensitive information is encrypted for storage. For credit card transactions placed through our site, in certain instances we may transmit your billing information in an encrypted format. Even though we use encryption to scramble your credit card number and personal information, no security system is impenetrable. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet. If we need to change our privacy policy at some point in the future, we will post the changes before they take effect.
